Hello, World!

No, I’m not a computer program (but I do reboot my suitcase way more often than my laptop). Why another travel blog?

This blog is my digital suitcase — a place to pack memories, reflections, and maybe even a few packing tips (alongside the extra shoes I always swear I won’t bring next time).

After quite a few years of traveling — and more importantly, trying to combine it with a so-called normal life (hello, 40-hour workweek!) — I caught myself thinking that my life kind of sucks. Not because it actually does, but because I haven’t been able (or brave enough) to quit my regular job and chase sunsets full-time.

There’s always a reason not to.
Also… I have two clingy kitties who think I’m their emotional support human and a home that’s more than just four walls. Not exactly backpack-friendly.

In a world full of digital nomads — people selling everything, leaving it all behind and collecting passport stamps like Pokémon cards — it’s ridiculously easy to fall into that sneaky little hole of why not me?

But here’s the truth bomb: in reality, there’s no one-size-fits-all travel lifestyle.
We’re all different. We grew up in different cultures, with different social expectations and all of that shaped who we are and how we move through the world.

And honestly? That’s pretty damn cool.
Our journeys aren’t meant to be identical. They’re meant to be ours. Unfiltered, unpolished, and unapologetically real.

In the world of digital nomads, be the carry-on that always fits — smart, light and going places.

I can already tell you what you will — and will not — find on this blog:

What you will find:
  • A woman who travels—sometimes far away, yet always within the limits of her paid vacation days (thanks, corporate life).
  • You’ll see how I occasionally mix remote work with exploring new cities—however, sometimes it turns into a total disaster.
  • Discover where I’ve been and how I travel on a budget without rich parents or Instagram sponsorships.
  • Learn how I pack for weekends or longer using only a free bag from low-cost airlines.
  • I’m not trying to visit every country—there are many places I don’t plan to see at all. And guess what? That’s okay.
Stuck in traffic when rushing to Cracow Airport – check!

You’ll find me traveling solo, with friends, as a couple, or amid family chaos—because travel isn’t one-size-fits-all.
I’ll share itineraries, budget tricks, packing hacks, cultural slip-ups and probably a few stories that involve sunburns and awkward toilets.

It’s a blend of dreamy destinations, yet also the not-so-glamorous realness of travel—both the highs and the lows wrapped into one.
Sometimes flights are magical; other times, they’re 20 hours of airport misery, lukewarm noodles, and crying babies.

Traveller by passion, cat mom by choice, engineer by “must pay the bills”

I travel by plane, by car, by bus, by train… and sometimes, in true chaos queen fashion, I use all of them within 24 hours.

Who hasn’t, at least once, caught that brutal 6 a.m. flight from Charleroi Airport—with dead eyes and a croissant in hand, no less?
Come on — it was only 20 euros! You had to.

  • Here, you’ll find all kinds of stories:
  • The good, the weird, the heartwarming, the slightly unhinged.
  • Tips and tricks, yes — but also real talk, questionable decisions, and moments that make you laugh or cringe (or both).
  • There’ll be humor. And sometimes… dark humor. Because travel isn’t always sunset cocktails and cute cafés. Sometimes it’s mosquito bites, lost luggage, and existential crises in foreign bathrooms.

If you love slow travel, salty beaches and, above all, heartfelt storytelling then you are welcome.
You’re in the right place.

And as Ozzy once said…
ALL ABOARD! 🔥
